About You & the Role
Join Chinabank as a Collections Associate and play a vital role in supporting the Bank's credit and collections operations. In this role, you will help ensure the effective management of assigned accounts by handling collection activities, maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. You will contribute to achieving collection targets while delivering professional customer service and ensuring compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards. The position also provides valuable exposure to banking operations, account management, analytics, and customer engagement.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Manage and monitor assigned delinquent accounts to support the achievement of collection targets.
  • Contact clients through phone calls, emails, and other approved communication channels to discuss outstanding obligations.
  • Negotiate payment arrangements and recommend appropriate collection strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of collection activities and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and submit collection, productivity, and performance reports on a timely basis.
  • Coordinate with internal units and accredited collection agencies regarding endorsed accounts.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns and account-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in all collection activities.
  • Support administrative, documentation, and management information system (MIS) requirements of the collections team.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Consistently meets or exceeds collection and recovery targets.
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy in reports, account updates, and documentation.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service while managing difficult conversations professionally.
  • Resolves account concerns within established turnaround times.
  • Adheres to all internal controls, regulatory requirements, and bank policies.
  • Builds strong working relationships with stakeholders and collection partners.
  • Contributes ideas that improve collection processes and operational efficiency.
  • Maintains a strong attendance record and dependable work ethic.
Qualifications & Skills We Value
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Financial Management, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; experience in collections, customer service, banking, or financial services is an advantage.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to manage challenging situations professionally.
  • Willing to work onsite and render overtime when business needs require.
