The
Telecom Project Manager
is responsible for leading end-to-end project execution for telecommunication deployments, with a focus on projects executed in Argentina. This role involves direct interaction with clients to define priorities, scope, and delivery timelines while ensuring adherence to the triple constraint: cost, quality, and time.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing telecom infrastructure projects, excellent organizational and communication skills, and strong experience handling cross-functional stakeholders. The Project Manager will oversee the planning and execution of complex network rollout activities, coordinate internal and external teams, and ensure all deliverables meet contractual and operational expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution
- Manage full project lifecycle from planning to closure, ensuring delivery within budget, timeline, and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project plans, Gantt charts, risk registers, and progress dashboards.
- Track project financials and ensure alignment with allocated budgets.
- Ensure compliance with contract deliverables and service-level agreements.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary liaison with clients to capture requirements, define priorities, and address issues.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams (engineering, operations, finance) and external partners.
- Provide regular updates and reports to internal leadership and clients.
Team Coordination & Leadership
- Coordinate activities with cross-functional internal teams and external subcontractors.
- Lead project meetings, status reviews, and risk mitigation sessions.
- Ensure team alignment to project goals, scope, and timelines.
Technical & Operational Oversight
- Oversee project activities involving wireless transmission systems, with a focus on microwave technologies.
- Support in defining technical scopes and understanding feasibility aspects of deployments.
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Competencies
- Leadership & Decision-Making: Proven ability to drive complex telecom projects to successful completion.
- Client Management: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage demanding customer relationships.
- Project Methodology: Deep understanding of PMI or Agile methodologies, with hands-on experience managing schedules, costs, risks, and quality.
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of microwave networks and telecom infrastructure.
- Problem-Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving issues that may affect project success.
- Communication: Fluent in Spanish; intermediate or advanced English preferred.
- Flexibility & Travel: Available to travel to Argentina up to twice per month.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in telecom project management.
- Hands-on experience working with microwave transmission projects is required.
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint).
- PMP or similar certification is a plus.
